Empower Us self-advocacy training in Nepal

In March, 2018 in Nepal in partnership with Inclusion International member PFPID we held a two day Empower Us training event for self-advocates and supporters.

The training was led by self-advocates leaders Mark from Malawi, Jayne from Kenya and David from New Zealand. There were 25 self-advocates from 5 countries across the region.

Our training covered; What is self-advocacy, What is good support, Our rights and the CRPD and SDGs and Advocacy in Action.

David, self-advocate representative for Asia Pacific said ‘We had a great few days, talking about inclusion, self-advocacy and sharing the issues that are important to us in the region like Inclusive Education. I think all the self-advocates felt empowered '
